We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Regional Technical Reviewer – Social Compliance to support the technical review of social audit reports. The role is preferably based in Sri Lanka, with flexibility for a hybrid working arrangement.

The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing social compliance audit reports primarily from Asia, with situational global assignments as designated by the Scheme Manager.

This position is critical in safeguarding audit quality, maintaining scheme integrity, and ensuring consistent, high-standard reporting across programs.

Location: Preferably Sri Lanka (Hybrid option available)
Scope: Primarily Asia, with global assignments as required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews of social compliance audit reports assigned by the Scheme Manager.
• Ensure reports comply with scheme requirements, client protocols, and internal quality standards.
• Assess findings for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and risk evaluation.
• Provide constructive feedback to auditors to enhance report quality.
• Guide auditors on best practices in documentation and reporting.
• Support report quality improvement initiatives within the Social Compliance function.
• Coordinate with auditors and regional teams to ensure timely closure of reports.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional integrity.
• Be available to work flexible hours to accommodate regional and global time zones.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Law, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Successful completion of a Lead Auditor Course in Social Compliance Programs (e.g., SMETA, SA8000, WRAP, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Professional certifications related to social compliance auditing will be considered an advantage.
• APSCA registration (CSCA/ASCA level) is desirable.

Required Experience

• Strong knowledge of SMETA, WRAP, and SLCP programs (mandatory).
• Experience with Brand Code of Conduct (COC) audits.
• Solid understanding of the social compliance audit process.
• Thorough knowledge of international social audit frameworks and reporting protocols.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to guide auditors and provide clear technical feedback.
• Ability to manage deadlines across different time zones.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Prior experience in technical review of social audit reports.
• Experience working with a certification body or global audit firm.
• Exposure to multi-country audit programs.
